Veteran Taiwan singers Richie Jen and Huang Pinyuan， “Prince of Love Songs” Jeff Chang and Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam will host three series concerts called “Dream·Starry Night·Summer” in Beijing at the Congress Hall from August 11 to 15.

　　The singers are among the biggest names in Chinese pop music and they expressed their confidence about brisk box office returns at a press conference Monday in Beijing.

　　Jointly staged by Richie Jen and Huang Pinyuan， the concert “Good Dream” will open the grand music feast on August 11. The two singers arrived at the promotional event to the popular pop tune “I'm a Fish.”

　　Richie Jen said， “I hope the concert will be very splendid so the performances are not just simply connected by one single after another. There are also collaborations between us. For example， I will sing Pinyuan's songs and he will perform mine. To tell you the truth， it's much more difficult than holding a solo concert because we have to come up with more ideas for collaboration. We started preparations for the concert last year， and now is the right time for us to show our wonderful work to the audience.”

　　This is Taiwan singer Huang Pinyuan's first time to hold a concert on the Chinese mainland. He will sing many classic songs with Richie Jen， including his masterpiece “How Can You Make Me Sad，” which has been repeatedly played and performed in China since 1990. The performances will be arranged into a dancing musical and some interesting elements， such as a magic show， will also be added to the fun.

　　“Prince of Love Songs” Jeff Chang will stage his concert “Time for Love” on August 13. The veteran also attended the promotional activity. Jeff said，

　　“I recently began concentrating on making my new album. The album is finished now， and will be released around August. Beijing fans can also have a first taste of my new songs at the concert. This is my second consecutive year to sing in Beijing.”

　　Among the singers， Hong Kong star Sandy Lam hasn't performed in China for years. She will stage her solo concert， called “Night Color，” on August 15.

　　With all the major stadia in Beijing under renovation for the coming 2008 Olympic Games， concerts have disappeared from Beijing since March. The three grand concerts come just in time to quench the thirst of Beijing fans with cool and refreshing performances this hot summer.
