《高高洛基山》是约翰·丹佛 （John Donver）作词曲并演唱 的一首歌。约翰·丹佛是我国听众极为熟悉的乡村歌手，1943年生于美国新墨西哥州，曾经学习建筑设计专业。自1967年以来，丹佛即开始创作并演唱乡村歌曲，但并不为人们所注目，还受到同行们的嘲笑。直到1971年《故乡的路》“Take Me Home， Courtry Roads”问世，丹佛一跃成为著名乡村音乐歌手，人们才对其刮目相看。
1979年1月，邓小平同志访美，丹佛曾在华盛顿肯尼迪文化中心为访美的邓小平同志演唱了他的代表作《故乡的路》、《高高洛基山》、《科罗拉多州的月光》等歌曲。其中《故乡的路》是在我国流行最广的一首美国乡村歌曲。
