59 Sets of Articles Received As Olympic Donations
4月12日，“我为奥运添财富”活动收到了第一批以单位名义捐赠的物品——由北京体育广播制作的《魅力北京，感动世界——北京奥运会会徽揭晓仪式现场直播》和《雅典奥运火炬在京激情传递》的精品CD.
The Capital Museum of Beijing has so far received 59 sets of articles as contributions to the “My Contribution to the Olympic Wealth” campaign launched February 22, 2005, according to an official statement on April 12, 2005.
Wang Wuyu, Curator of the Capital Museum of Beijing, said that the donations come from all over China, including Beijing, Shandong, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Zhejiang and Guangdong.
The more than 100 donated items include books, seals, postal materials and banners specially designed for Beijing's bid for the Olympic Games. Nine postal items of special significance （including stamps and envelopes）, in particular, were designed for Beijing's first bid for the Olympic Games over ten years ago.
Wang expressed hopes that the collected items would mark Beijing's efforts in bidding, preparing and staging the Olympics, as well as demonstrating the progress of China's sports development over the last two decades.
